Boiler start-up is a serious matter that goes far beyond tuning the burner and checking the safeties.  It requires an understanding of the entire heating system as well as the ability to troubleshoot and balance the system for optimum performance and all operating conditions.  Protecting the boiler from condensing, making sure the combustion air is adequate, minimizing boiler cycling, checking draft, input, etc., are just a few of the things a seasoned professional with the proper equipment will address.  Operator training is also available as part of this service.  The ability to do this and to provide solutions to problems or concerns that invariably come up requires years of hands-on field experience.
