Si un tubo de la caldera tiene una fuga dentro de la caldera y baja por la placa de tubos delantera o trasera donde el tubo sale de la placa de tubos, entonces es necesario volver a enrollar el tubo. El equipo de enrollado se puede alquilar o prestar. Si el tubo tiene una fuga en alg\u00fan lugar entre las dos l\u00e1minas de tubos, el tubo se puede reemplazar o el tubo se puede tapar y retirar del servicio. Se recomienda taponar no m\u00e1s del 10% de los tubos de la caldera. Un video de re-entubado est\u00e1 disponible en l\u00ednea. Los pasos para tapar un tubo son los siguientes:<\/p>\r\n

Material requerido:<\/h2>\r\n

(2) 1.5″ X 3″ or 3.5″ black schedule 40 nipples.
(2) 1.5″ black malleable 150# threaded caps.
(1) 1.5″ forged steel threaded cap (preferred) or 300# malleable cap.
(1) small tube of Loctite or pipe joint compound (pipe dope).<\/p>\r\n

Procedure:<\/h2>\r\n

a) Identifique el (los) tubo (s) a retirar inspeccionando la fuga desde el interior de la c\u00e1mara de combusti\u00f3n (c\u00e1mara de combusti\u00f3n) cuando la caldera est\u00e1 llena de agua y bajo presi\u00f3n y el quemador est\u00e1 bloqueado.<\/p>\r\n

b) A\u00edsle la caldera del sistema y drene la caldera.<\/p>\r\n

c) Retire las placas de cabeza.<\/p>\r\n

d) Aplique Loctite o sellador para tuber\u00edas a las roscas de la tuber\u00eda.<\/p>\r\n

e) Gire el acero forjado o la tapa 300 # en un extremo tan apretado como sea posible con la mano.<\/p>\r\n

f) Pound the cap with a mini sledge hammer to drive the nipple into the tube. Stop when the threads are just inside the tube and the “meat” of the nipple is still visible.<\/p>\r\n

g) Remove the forged or 300# cap. Re-apply Loctite or pipe dope. Screw on the 150# cap. Tighten onto threads with a 14″ or 16″ pipe wrench. An offset pipe wrench may be required in certain spots.<\/p>\r\n

h) Repita en el otro extremo del tubo para completar el procedimiento de taponamiento.<\/p>\r\n

The advantage of this method over using a solid tube plug is that solid tube plugs can be extremely difficult to remove later on when the tube is replaced whereas the pipe-cap method is very easy to flame cut and remove. If the plugged tube is along the bottom row it will be subject to radiant flame and the tube metal will disintegrate. When the burner fires, the resulting molten metal will fall down onto the burners on atmospheric boilers – or down onto the firebox brick floor on power burner fired boilers. This slag should be removed from on top of the cast iron burners as soon as possible. There is no urgency to remove it from the bottom of a power burner fired boiler box – it can wait until the next time the firebox door is opened for service or inspection.<\/p>\r\n
